"the metropolis as a cauldron of creativity" (quote from the trailer)--feelin' the antithesis of this keenly in little ol' whitefish right now. for me it's the sheer volume of verve available in certain cities (paris, oxford, vienna, rome, brussels, nyc...) where to hold a can of spray paint, for instance, does not make you bold. to hold a can of spray paint and do something artful that others didn't know anyone was skilled enough to do, that is bold. here it is all too easy to feel verve/boldness/intrigue in contrast. gotta get me to a city soon. & to this film avec you, oh lovely salon.
